PhD in Architecture at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya- UPC, Spain (2011). She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture and Multimedia Gallaecia at the Universidade Portucalense-UPT.
She was in charge of the construction management for six months of a market in the Ivory Coast – a work of “Architects without Borders” (2002). In Atelier ‘Bangolo’ (from 2004 to 2015), she dedicated to rural heritage refurbishments and new construction with bioclimatic criteria and traditional techniques. She was Guest Professor at the ‘Unió d’empresaris de la construcció’ in Catalonia (2006), Assistant Professor at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya-UPC (2010-2012) and of ESG (201-2021). She was co-director of the ‘XXXVIII Curset AADIPA 2015: Traditional architecture: essence or forma, and of the first course on traditional construction in Girona” organised by the College of Architects of Catalonia (2015). Also, President of the Scientific Council of Escola Superior Gallaecia-ESG (2014-2016) (2018-2020); and Deputy Director of the Integrated Master of Architecture and Urbanism in ESG (2016-2019).
Due to the interdisciplinary nature of her training, she has delved into a social perspective in the analysis of architectural heritage issues, in line with anthropology of architectural heritage.
She has recently published articles in indexed journals such as “Journal of Rural Studies”, “International Journal of Heritage Studies”, “Buildings”, and “Learning, Culture and Social Interaction”.
Awards and Recognitions: 1st Iberian Prize for “Research on Traditional Architecture” (2011-2012); 1st Prize “XII Premis Ecoviure a las instalaciones y construcciones sostenibles” (2014); Supervisor of the Finalist Work of the “Archiprix Portugal 2016” Prize, by Pedro Vila Pouca. In 2022 Outstanding Reviewer of the Emerald Literati Awards.
