Isabel Freitas – Short Bio

Full Professor and Head of the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture at Portucalense University (UPT), and Director of the Restoration and Conservation Center. PhD in History (UPT, 2001), researcher at CIAUD-UPT, and Correspondent of the Portuguese Academy of History. Coordinator of several study cycles in the area of ​​Cultural Heritage. Professor of several undergraduate thesis, internship and master’s degree reports, master’s dissertation and doctoral dissertation juries. Editorial Board member, Member of Scientific Council and Advisor Board Member in International Journals SCOPUS and WOS. Coordinator of national and international conferences in the areas of Heritage, Culture and Tourism. Collaborator in other projects of valorization of heritage and territory with City Councils and local organisms. Researcher in projects financed in Portugal and in Spain. In the scope of these projects, published articles and books that are centered on themes related to cultural landscape, territorial development, heritage management, conservation and heritage risks and heritage values.
