Universidade Portucalense Hosted the 2nd Seminar on Digital Surveying Technologies

On 25 September 2026, Universidade Portucalense hosted the second edition of the seminar “Digital Surveying Technologies in Architecture, Urban Planning and Heritage”, coordinated by researcher Joaquim Flores and dedicated to advanced digital capture and modelling methods applied to the built environment.

The programme featured Global Geosystems, which presented digital surveying technologies and their professional applications, including practical demonstrations of static and mobile laser scanners, drones and ground-penetrating radar (GPR).

The initiative strengthened connections between education, research, technological innovation and professional practice, highlighting the potential of these tools for documenting, analysing and conserving architectural and urban heritage.
